Senators Build-Up

Remember a couple weeks ago We talked about the Canucks build up well today it's the senators build up. On the opening day they got the main thing they needed good goaltending and they got some with goaltender Alex Auld. Not only will he be a good backup he will challenge for the starting job. Then they got some grit other than Chris Neil and that was Jarkko Ruutu.Then they got more leadership with signing Jason Smith. Then they got forward Brennan Bell. The Senators lost Wade Redden to the New-York Rangers and Cory Stillman to the Florida Panthers. Senators GM Bryan Murray said he would like to get restricted free agent Andrej Meszaros under contract before training camp.

Ryan Whitney Out for 3-5 Months

Penguins Defenceman Ryan Whitney Had surgery to correct a chronic foot problem. Sure the surgery corrected his foot problem but the defenceman will not been seen on the ice for 3-5 months. This will definitly hurt the penguins blue-line. Hopefully for the penguins it will take only 3 months.
