Canucks Build Up

Today I'm Going to Talk about the way the canucks are shaping up (don't worrie I will do other team build ups later) I was very happy when the Canucks finally fired David Nonis. But I was nervous about his replacement Mike Gillis but with in the next couple weeks he picked up Kyle Wellwood off waviers. Then Gillis traded a third-round pick in the 2009 NHL draft and a second-round pick in 2010 (one of the draft picks was Los-Angeles') for the young right winger Steve Bernier I think Bernier will scored 15-25 goals this season which is what the canucks
needed so badly. The Canucks also signed four more players Nolan Baumgartner, Rob Davison, Ryan Johnson, Darcy Horndichuk. Then When you thought Mats Sundin was the only guy the canucks were still talking to they signed right winger Pavol Demitra I first thing I thought was he is going to be a first or second line player and he is going to be a leader. Then the Canucks made one more move they signed Jason Krog who was the point leader in the America Hockey League. So thats was is happening on the Canucks Front I will post more news as it comes.

2009 Winter Classic

This years winter classic will take place at Wrigley Field (Chicago). The two teams that will be playing at this Winter Classic will be the Chicago Blackhawks and the Detroit Red-Wings.I think last years winter classic will be much better than this years because last year it had more Star power with Crosby, Malkin, Miller, Stall, Campbell,Vanek, Malone, Sykora,Roberts, Afinogenov, and Fleury it will probably be a much more interesting game than this years. Anyway the Winter Classic will once again be on New Years Day. A cool fact is that Brian Campbell will be in this second winter classic. So thats all for now later...

Ted Nolan out as Islanders Coach

When ever a team is struggling this is always what happens, A coach gets fired or as Garth Snow says they had "philosophical differences" which means they had different thoughts about what the team should do. I think Garth Snow and the Islanders organization should had at least have given him 1 more year but that is just me write in what you think the Islanders should have done with Ted Nolan.

One day after the NHL and the KHL made a deal that each other can't make offers on players with contracts. The one of the KHL teams has suposebly had signed Alexander Radulov but Nashville Predators GM David Poile said that he is expected to be at training camp and he will play for the Preds for the 08-09 NHL Season. Post a comment about what you think about this Topic.
